This drama would not be the same without him. I've really enjoyed most of the actors & actresses immensely and will look for them in other dramas, so I don't regret watching up till now + I've enjoyed reading everyone's comments here.
Are we watching the same show because from what I see the writers favor TH. He loved her more than his throne. Hahahahhahaahhaha Why does the director wanted to die tal tal. We are only mid way thru.

When he started to develop feelings for Seung-Nyang who he thought was a guy gave some good laughs. I don't usually watch historical dramas and I only remembered to have watched like 5 or less over my whole drama addiction. Wang Yu character was "perfect" ideal of a guy that i never felt connection towards his character. So great to see more of the actors here!!! Maybe because it's about re-telling of a history filled with warriors, fight between two kingdoms, political rivalries and the beautiful rendition of the song "Up Where We Belong" and "Thousand Years" all sang by Christian Bautista, which adds flavor to the love triangle of Ki, Wang Yoo and Togon. well HJW already has established herself as a very good actress , that alone , probably, we'll get ourselves all blown out by watching this drama.. Can't wait for the next one to come out. But in the drama wtf they made him a weak,naive,illiterate emperor. The only sageuk that I think followed history mostly was Jewel in the Palace. I like Seungnyang. Here are his flaws...He is selfish, childish, cowardly, and sometimes naive However, sometimes he is nice, caring, protective, and has good sense of humor. It's been a while since I felt stress watching a drama, because despite repeating to myself "it's ok, it's not real, just a drama. As this is all based on true events, but not really a the same time (story is fictional) you could just a easily made episode 50 that final episode. For me, Ji Chang Wook tried his own best to become an Excellent Actor (special project) and also Ha Ji Won tried her own best to become a Popularity Actress Award and she got a Grand Prize.. That's my idols. it started for all the wrong reason and is just BAD all around. Ha Ji Won is great actress. I watched this drama in 7 days... 51 episodes in 7 days.
